if the prepaid sim is the same network as the contract sim, then yes, but bet warned, if you are on a contract and the contract isn't finished yet, tmobile will send you an invoice for the remainder of the contract and will look for legal action to recover the contracted amount.
My wife used to be with tmobile and thats how they screwed her over.
