Will i get charge if i use a prepaid sim in iPhone?

i am planning to buy a iPhone 3gs, i would just like to know if i will get charge if i just use a prepaid sim. i really don't need the 3g signal. so, has anyone done this?



and coz i have a friend, he has a iphone and he's a line on a different network, and he said that he doesn't get charged. so, i wanna know if it will work on a at%26amp;t prepaid sim.Will i get charge if i use a prepaid sim in iPhone?
It will work. but you won't have any internet to use.
