I have a regular sidekick 2, not a prepaid phone, and I want to use a prepaid sim card, what can a prepaid sim card do and how do you get one, do you have to active it or something, can anyone tell me the full details of a prepaid sim card for t-mobile?How do you get a t-mobile prepaid sim card?
Well what you can do is go into any T-Mobile retail store or indirect retailer to get a prepaid SIM.



If it is an option, you can convert your regular account to prepaid and that way you don't need to buy a card when you already have one.



Basically it works like your regular SIM card. It goes in the back of your Sidekick. It works with any T-Mobile device because all of them use SIM cards. You do have to activate it once you purchase it due to the company trying to downplay theft.

Go to a T-Mobile Company owned store and purchase a SIM card. All T-Mobile SIM cards are the same no matter if it is pre-paid or contract. They are about $20. After you purchase the SIM call T-Mobile, 1-800-937-8997 and request to be transferred to T-Mobile ToGo. They can activate the card for you. You also need to purchase a T-Mobile ToGo card while you are at the store. When you call customer care they will activate it with your SIM card.
