I will be leaving for Singapore in just a few weeks, and I will be bringing my unlocked smartphone there with me. I intend to buy a prepaid SIM card for my smartphone, and am wondering if this is a troublesome process and if I need to pay any kind of activation fee. You can buy one at 7-11. Just remember to take your passport because they need ID to "register" you. It costs $17 or so and includes that much in credit.What is the process of buying a prepaid SIM card in Singapore?
